Hi, I am Kayne and I have coached in small Crossfit gyms for many years.
I came up with the concept of programming for small gyms when I was on holiday. I got talking to the owner after my drop in session and he was saying that he did the programming for his gym because every other program requires space or more equipment.
He had tried many known brands, but he had the same problem with all of them. The program did not fit his small space.
It got me thinking because I had been coaching in small Crossfit gyms for many years. I had been writing the program specifically for the small space I was coaching in. The space was 120 square metres and I needed to fit 20 people into it.
I have learnt a lot over the years about maximising space, using equipment efficiently and designing workouts that fit small spaces. Programming for small gyms is an art, you can’t just throw everything at the wall and hope it sticks.
